I brushed away more leaves. There was a hard surface beneath. Ceramic armor. I ran my hand along it until I found the edge, then pointed my flashlight. I stared into a dark mass of machinery– joints, gears, struts, wires. There was a serial number engraved on the interior surface of the casing.

“I don’t believe it,” I muttered.

“What the hell is it?” Embeck called from below. He had insisted on staying at ground level, scanning the landscape, his finger on the trigger of our only blaster.

I can't help but want to take one of these for a run down the highway at rush hour.

What a find. Although, I like this better than the gang-of-youths finding a hidden cache cliché....

I want one.

For a short period of time I played Mech Warrior with a Microsoft joystick that handled X, Y AND Z axis. this made it great for tromping along and turing the upper portion of the mech to fire at people.

I imagine driving an actual Mech would be a much greater thrill.

Loved this one. I remember playing an mech-based old arcade game that was a dual-joystick/cockpit seating affair that just rocked my world. Used to play for hours on everyone else's quarters while kicking their collective asses. One of the few games I was ever really good at.
